Chemtronics has successfully interfaced its ServiceCenter asset management program with the facilities management software system BEIMS, by Mercury Systems. BEIMS is one of the most common Computerised Maintenance Management Systems used by facilties departments in Hospitals and Universities in Australia and New Zealand. The new interface gives total transparency between the systems, allowing users access to the features that ServiceCenter offers, while automatically populating BEIMS. Service requests are generated using BEIMS remote request and if biomedical related, automatically create a job in ServiceCenter in real time. Updates to jobs are fed back to BEIMS for work in progress and closure information updated. Assets are synchronised between the two systems. Even biomedical test results are automatically transferred to BEIMS.
A paper was delivered at the 2008 NZHIEEM coference in Napier New Zealand by the pilot hospital that has been using the interface successfully. Expressions of interest have been received already from more than a dozen clients.
For more information on the BEIMS interface, please contact either Chemtronics on 1800 765 833 or Mercury Systems.
